If you really want to make good on presentation, you can take a paper plate and cut a funky design out of it, then dust the cinnamon over it carefully to leave a design in the powder.

I had trouble with adding liquid creamer to my cake mixes...maybe it was how much I added but it made the cake fall, like the creamer was too thick.But I have used powdered creamer where it called for the liquid to be added and it came out just fine. So the good news is the mixes are nearly fool proof (not calling you a fool tho!) Funny thing about cake & brownie mixes is that, when they first came out, they changed the instructions to require adding oil and an egg, which were completely unnecessary. I tried pizza, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. BUT the taste was so awesome I have to make them again and get it right. I did the box mix as called for then added a sm box of instant pudding I used cheesecake and then I addded 1/2 C vanilla caramel liquid creamer to the mix. I have searched the recipes but can't find one using liquid creamer. Most of the "Cake Dr's" recipes call for this kind of subsitution.It works & taste great.If using a scratch recipe be careful of the amounts & adjust accordingly. The creamer would make a great icing (as suggested by Ann), then you can pan toast the almonds (as suggested by smdiablito), chop, sprinkle on top and dust with cinnamon.
